The Lighter Side Show is back for Season 4! Jamie channels Maitland, who decides to change the show topic on the spot (to the surprise of Colleen and Jesse) and share her knowledge on our natural telepathic abilities. Maitland addresses a few misconceptions about what it means to be telepathic, and teaches us some techniques for strengthening our telepathy.

I have a question for her….well first of all Thank You Maitland for always helping and guiding me.
How do i use and enhance my telepathic skills to talk clearly with my pets – dogs? And even with fishes? And with strays? Can i “learn” or rather have confidence on this myself or do i need to do a course?

Maitland: You can learn!! actually the learning is based on un-learning! but still you can do it. Get centered and hold a neutral energy in your body, open up your imagination and let yourself enjoy the images, and words. Play with it first before readings any messages. The Play is what will get you to your accuracy.

I love this episode and as always love seeing Maitland in action. She never fails to make laugh aloud. It is interesting we are all struggling putting the right vocab on these things once again. But I felt it was actually simplified if you were just to call it ‘energy reading’. Whether it is through to other dimensions and call it channeling or as Maitland said life force to life force and call it telepathy. Initially, when I was younger I used to think ‘Telepathy’ litterally meant picking up on someone’s words and thoughts. Now, having a greater understanding of being an empath I would say it is obviously a far greater subject and would put all under the umbrella of energy reading. Weird though, I have just had this very odd example happen with my son. I was putting him to sleep and was lying next to him waiting for him to doze off. I was thinking of Prince (the deceased artist – I connect to him quite a bit now) and suddenly Luca says Mum, Why did Prince die? Now, why would a four year old think about Prince? He didn’t, he picked up my thoughts quite obviously. It did baffle me at first but then I started to see how we are often very in-tune with our kids.

Excellent episode and topic choice, Maitland! My husband and I use telepathy quite a bit and have for many years. It is funny with hubby because sometimes he will tell me it was So loud! I also will hear close friends who live thousands of miles away and when I call them, they will often tell me I have been on their minds while going through a situation. With those ones, it is like waves of emotions and their name comes with it.

Great episode; thank you, Maitland. Way to get it done ?. I’m not sure if it was my device (phone) or if I was “seeing” it energetically, but when Maitland came in, I saw Jamie’s face and hands take on a gold tone, which stayed through the whole show. Nothing else, including her clothes, took on that golden glow. Anyone else see this?

my husband and I have a pretty special relationship….we have from the beginning….we consider ourselves to be twin flames….which is not easy!…we are perfect opposites…..like the flip side of the same coin….I’m a card carrying liberal…..he’s decidedly conservative….but over the ten years we have been together and through some very lively debates we have both become more moderate….met in the middle….and not just politically…..he presses my deepest buttons and I he….but we literally feel sparks when we touch each other….so, it’s the best and easiest and worst and hardest…..we also have had some pretty telepathic happenings…..early on we noticed we answered each others thought but not spoken questions….before the other one could get it out of their mouth to speak…..we broke up once and I was mournfully crying at 3:45 p.m. on a certain day….he later asked me what I was doing at 3:45….I knew that had to be around the time I was feeling anguished….he knew. And once late at night on my way home from work when I was missing him and he was asleep at his house…I screamed out his name….Michael I want to talk to you NOW!….I was amazed when my phone rang a couple minutes later and he said “what did you want?….you woke me up! 🙂
