The Unscripted Way: Unscripting the Mind – Observation vs. Judgment

Stay Spirit Fit as we flex the muscle of discerning observation versus judgment (a.k.a. evaluation). Much of life’s upset and “drama” can be attributed to the meaning we apply to life’s events.  How can we become more conscious and less conditioned by these entrenched associations and patterns? How can we respond versus react to triggering situations? If you seek more peace and clarity in life, then join boot camp this week!

Activities:

– Freeform journal at least 2 minutes, 2 times a week

– Prompted journal entry: Review your day for moments when you felt triggered. (a) Describe the situation and what happened. (b) Now, separate what happened versus what meaning you assigned to it. Write down only the pure observation. What would we see and hear on a camera recording of the event? Be aware anytime you write an interpretation or apply meaning.

– Continue crafting your 100th birthday celebration speech – what will your friends and family say about your life? What is the legacy you want to leave?

– Get your natal chart done

– (Optional): Read The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer

– (Optional): Check out the Spirit Science series: http://thespiritscience.net/about-spirit-science/

– Prompted video journal entry (for our 4 boot campers): Describe your experience of “seeing your seeing” or “observing your observing.”

Why Vimeo? I thought we signed up for the lighter side network.

Brilliantly delivered Darshana!! I’m gonna have to watch this episode again – so rich with wisdom and clarity! The book “Untethered Soul” was where I first became aware of the chatter of my mind and it was also where LOTS of drama ended in my life. Conclusions… labels… categorizing… judging… meaning-making… my awareness is so much more expanded today.

There is still much more growth ahead for me but I’m enjoying the awareness of my mind telling endless stories about everything – most of which I can safely ignore to save myself needless mental misery. Peace becomes abundant in this awareness. Remembering that nothing shows up in our experience with inherent meaning is also a powerful truth to embrace. All meaning is applied (by us).

I love love love this episode !! Such divine timing !! I’ve literally been observing various scenarios where I am clear what’s happening, pausing and or reflecting for longer periods e.g. Days to see what stories I need to “rewire”

Most importantly, staying curious and free like a child!

This I noticed especially expanded after our session end of September. It’s accelerating and feels like my mind is releasing so much and rewiring. I will listen again before sending insights
